The Art of Jeremy Boot
Born in 1948, Jeremy Boot is regarded as one of Australia 's finest wildlife
artists. First published in 1977, he has completed work for major Australian
natural history publishers and his paintings are widely represented in
private and corporate collections both in Australia and overseas. His
career and his artistic style are based on a natural talent and a keen
understanding of nature. His work is characterised by a highly detailed
and ornithologically correct style and a devotion to capturing the spirit
of the subject.
Major Publications:
In 1978 he was approached by one of Australia's leading natural history
publishers, Landsdowne Press, to illustrate a book written by CSIRO
ornithologists Richard Schodde and Ian Mason. ‘Nocturnal Birds of Australia'
remains one of the leading publications on this subject. In 1986, The
Hardy Wine Company selected images from another beautifully produced
book, ‘Birds of South Australia', for a series of wine labels. Over
one and a half million bottles were produced gaining him recognition
for his artwork both nationally and internationally. Reproductions of
Boot's work have won many printing and design awards, and his recently
published work includes illustrations for the successful field guide
‘The Birds of Australia'.

Currently he works from his studio base in Adelaide, South Australia.
